The Diocese provides safeguarding training on a deanery and parish basis. Our face-to-face training programme is temporarily suspended because of social distancing due to COVID-19. If you need to access free online safeguarding training please email the safeguarding office including your your name, parish and parish role and a member of our team will enrol you as soon as possible. The DBS has recently created a ‘Guide to DBS Checks’ video which explores a number of different subjects including: the different types of DBS check, how to apply, the type of information that can be included on DBS certificate, what countries DBS covers and the DBS Barred Lists.
