Students at St John the Baptist School, Woking, join competition to promote parish event

April 17, 2026

St John the Baptist School in Woking and St Dunstan’s Church have teamed up to promote the upcoming St Dunstan’s Festival, which will take place in May. Writing on Facebook, a representative of the school said:

“It was an exciting moment for the DT department when St Dunstan’s Parish approached us to design posters for their upcoming St Dunstan’s Festival in May. Students across DT classes were given the brief and specifications, and they rose to the challenge brilliantly, putting their graphic design skills to work to create vibrant, eye‑catching posters to promote the event.

“Every student who submitted a design earned house points, and 14 entries were selected to be sent to the St Dunstan’s Parish team for judging. After careful consideration, the results are in: 1st Place: Alice R; 2nd Place: Arthur P; 3rd Place: Darcy P.

“The judging panel shared some wonderful feedback: ‘These are great!’ ‘These look fabulous!!’ ‘They are bright and cheerful. Difficult to choose. What a marvellous effort from the designers. Well done!’”

SJB looks forward to working on some more designs for the upcoming events with St Dunstan’s Parish!
