Congratulations to St Mary, Star of the Sea Catholic Primary School, St Leonards, and St Thomas a Becket, Eastbourne, which both joined the Bosco Catholic Education Trust on 1 May.
The schools become the tenth and eleventh primary schools in the Bosco Trust, joining the other nine primary schools already in the Trust: St Mary’s, Worthing; Annecy, Seaford; St Joseph’s, Haywards Heath; Our Lady Queen of Heaven, Crawley; St Peter’s, Shoreham; St Wilfrid’s, Angmering; St Robert Southwell, Horsham; St Catherine's, Littlehampton, and the two secondary academies: St Paul’s Catholic College, Burgess Hill and St Philip Howard Catholic School, Barnham.
Welcoming the two school communities into the Trust, the Trust CEO and Chair of Directors wrote:
"The aim of all schools in the Trust is to provide the children entrusted to our care with an exceptional Catholic education. Children, staff, governors and families flourish when they are happy, and this comes from them being known and loved. St John Bosco was a great advocate for young people. Thank you for joining us on the journey!"
Catholic schools in Arundel & Brighton have a long tradition of working collaboratively. Bosco Catholic Education Trust was established to bring together Catholic schools in Sussex. Both Xavier CET in Surrey and Bosco CET seek to further enhance and strengthen the partnership between our Catholic family of schools and to preserve and protect all that we value and cherish in our communities.
