66 Prayer & Liturgy Coordinators from our diocesan schools gathered with the Education Service at Ladywell Franciscan Centre today for a time of personal retreat with ideas and tips for leading staff in prayer. The day included the celebration of Mass in Ladywell's beautiful chapel, with Fr Michael O'Grady OFM.

As described in the Prayer & Liturgy Directory, Prayer and Liturgy Coordinators have a vital role in helping schools to plan their provision for students' prayer and for liturgy but also for staff prayer, because “Praying and celebrating liturgies together on a regular basis offer staff an opportunity to deepen their own spiritual lives and experience different types of prayer”.

Today, they had the opportunity to experience a variety of ways to pray. It was both a moment of retreat and a chance to gain skills and insights in leading staff and colleagues in prayer at school.
