Our Supermarket Hardship Voucher Scheme is ongoing

March 1, 2021

Our Supermarket Voucher Hardship Scheme is helping people across our community

Food poverty has increased dramatically during the Covid-19 pandemic with people throughout our diocesan community experiencing significant hardship. The Albert Gubay Charitable Foundation recently donated £1 million to Catholic charities to help them cope with the suffering caused by the pandemic, with our Diocese awarded £170,000 to fund a Supermarket Voucher Hardship Scheme helping families and individuals in need.

Applications to the scheme are still being taken with the initiative open to people of all faiths and none. If you, or someone you know, is in need of help please apply to the scheme through your local parish priest.

If you are a diocesan Catholic school or parish and you would like to find out how to administer the scheme please contact our Fundraising Officer by email here.
