Lourdes Pilgrimage Handbook 2026 launched!

July 15, 2026

The annual diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes begins on 25 July and this year around 750 pilgrims are preparing for their journeys.

Each year, the Diocese of Arundel & Brighton takes hundreds of pilgrims to Lourdes to visit the Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes. By plane, by train, by coach, by car, by Jumbulance – some even by bicycle! – they answer Our Lady’s call to come to the Grotto.

Our diocesan group includes pilgrims who are sick, disabled, frail or elderly and need our help to make the journey, as well as families, teenagers, helpers, medics and many others. The pilgrimage is "Love in Action": pilgrims journey to Lourdes to serve each other and to renew their commitment to walk with Jesus Christ with the help of Our Lady and St Bernadette.

Whether you are travelling to Lourdes this year, or making your Pilgrimage at home, you can read the Pilgrimage Handbook, to follow the Pilgrimage's prayers, Masses and events, above, or download a copy by clicking the button below. You can also download a novena, to pray for the Pilgrimage.
