Members of the diocesan Education Service and teachers from across the Diocese gathered at Ladywell Franciscan Centre on 6 November to launch the Leading in Faith course for this academic year. Participants, in a variety of different roles in schools and Trusts from around the Diocese, had the opportunity to listen, discuss and pray together.

Leading in Faith is for teachers and leaders who wants to continue exploring their faith and leadership journey. It aims to develop current and future school leaders, and welcomes both Catholics and non-Catholics, providing them the opportunity to reflect on their own faith and formation, develop their understanding of the unique role and mission of Catholic schools, gain insight into what it means to be a leader in a Catholic setting.

It includes guest appearances by Catholic leaders from across our Diocese and the opportunity to work with a spiritual director and to study the first module of the Masters in Catholic Leadership with St Mary’s University. The course is a collaboration between Xavier CET, Bosco CET and the diocesan Education Service

Reflecting after the event, Education Service Director, Julie Oldroyd, wrote that "We will hold the group in our prayers until we meet again in February."
