The Diocese of Arundel and Brighton was delighted to host the termly meeting of the Diocesan Schools Commissioners from England and Wales and the Catholic Education Service, in Guildford, including a pilgrimage walk between two of the churches of the Parish of Guildford.

Writing after the event, Julie Oldroyd, diocesan Director of Education, shared an account and her thanks to the communities that hosted the gathering:

"On Tuesday afternoon, we gathered at St Edward the Confessor, Sutton Park, for a talk and tour led by Deacon Michael Phillips. Bishop Richard then led us on a pilgrimage walk to St Joseph’s, Guildford, where he celebrated Mass.

"Thank you to St Peter’s, St Joseph’s and St Thomas of Canterbury schools in Guildford for providing transport, readers, servers and especially the choir, accompanied by Choral Director Fraser Ellson.

"Thanks to Monsignor Tony Barry, the clergy of the parish and the staff from the schools for ensuring a warm welcome to A&B for all the delegates."
