Members of the diocesan Education Service spent last week on pilgrimage to Lourdes, as part of the annual diocesan Pilgrimage. Writing after the group's return, Education Service Director Julie Oldroyd said:

"What a joy it was for eight members of the Education Service to be part of the diocesan pilgrimage to Lourdes!

"As hotel leaders, in the Accueil [accommodation for those pilgrims most in need of medical care], part of the music group, as a Deacon, Assistant Chaplains and Pastoral Support with Purpleshirts and Redshirts [young people in school years 12, and 10-11], they journeyed with 700 pilgrims in this Jubilee year with Mary, as Pilgrims of Hope.

"May our pilgrimage bear fruit as we return home and continue to be of service to our schools."
