COP30 Day of Action: CAFOD appeals for support for action to safeguard the planet

November 2, 2025

World leaders will meet in Brazil next month at the COP30 global climate talks held in the Amazon - home of indigenous communities and an ecosystem which is essential to planetary stability. The impact of climate change is being felt across the globe, but is hitting the world's poorest countries hardest, impacting communities that have the fewest coping mechanisms.

COP30 will bring together world leaders, scientists, non-governmental organisations, and civil society to discuss climate priorities and tackle climate change. To ensure that world leaders understand the importance of safeguarding the planet and take action, a number of climate events and marches will be taking place around the world on Saturday 15 November, with CAFOD inviting parishioners to join in.
