The Diocese of Arundel and Brighton Education Service is delighted to announce that its Day by Day resources, which were completed earlier this month, have now received endorsement by the Catholic Education Service (CES) and have been granted permission henceforth to carry the Religious Education Directory logo, which bears the motto: "Mater admirabilis, monstra te esse matrem" ("Mother Most Admirable, show yourself to be a mother").

All six Branches of Day by Day, for all Primary year groups, are now published and freely available on St Mary’s University website. The resources support the delivery of the RE Directory. The curriculum resources have been produced by Primary RE Advisers from the Diocese of Arundel & Brighton’s Education Service and carefully developed in collaboration with Early Years teachers and Primary practitioners and have received canonical approval, to enable schools to be fully compliant with the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of England & Wales' requirements.

Responding to the CES endorsement, Julie Oldroyd, Director of Education said:

"We are also deeply grateful to all our primary schools for embracing and contributing to this journey, which began four years ago and is bearing significant fruit. The quality of Religious Education now being taught across our schools is increasingly being recognised as an example of best practice.”
