St Bede's is seeking a teacher of business to join them from January 2027, on a full-time basis.

The business and economics department offers the following courses at Key Stage 4 (KS4) and Key Stage 5 (KS5):

- GCSE Business (AQA)

- A Level Economics (AQA)

- A Level Business (AQA)

- Cambridge Technical Extended Certificate in Business (OCR)

The department is a popular choice for students at both KS4 and KS5. At A Level, it runs two classes in years 12 and 13 for economics and one for business. It currently runs six or seven GCSE classes depending on demand, and also runs one CTEC class in year 13.

The department prides itself on creating a warm and supportive atmosphere and teamwork is highly valued. There is an experienced team with strong subject knowledge and an excellent understanding of the exam board requirements. Members take a collegial approach to their work and there are opportunities for all colleagues to contribute to the department’s curriculum and resources. This approach has helped the department to develop very strong student relationships and buy-in to the subject. This is reflected by the popularity of the courses and our consistently strong results. While there would be opportunities for applicants to teach across the full range of subjects, the successful candidate’s individual timetable would be negotiated according to their experience, qualifications and interests.
