Job Profile

Based in CAFOD’s Education Section and working closely with staff across the organisation, the successful Education Resources Coordinator will be responsible for the creation and development of high-quality resource materials for Catholic Primary and Secondary schools and Youth programmes.

You will liaise with schools across England and Wales, creating and testing ideas for new resources, gathering feedback, and developing ways of engaging children and young people through the established curriculum and through wider forms of learning experiences, such as liturgy, assemblies, fundraising activities, campaigning, interactive games and simulations and engagement with Catholic Youth Ministry.

The resources you create will enhance pupils’ knowledge and understanding of global justice issues, assist schools with CAFOD’s fundraising and campaigning activities, support the Catholic Life and mission of schools and inspire young people to put Catholic Social Teaching into action by working for social justice.

The post holder will be a current practitioner in a Catholic Secondary school with secure knowledge of how to engage children and young people in important issues of faith and social justice. You will be confident working alongside teaching staff, chaplains, retreat workers and pupils and will be able to multitask across concurrent projects, seeing them to positive and timely conclusions.

This is a key role which demands energy, enthusiasm, creativity, and strong organisational skills. The post holder will be an effective member of a team, whilst simultaneously being able to work independently on major projects.

An ability to adhere to strict deadlines and complete tasks to a high standard is crucial in this role. The role is part of a dedicated team of experienced professionals and reports directly to the School's Communications Manager.
