Role: School Business Manager (Permanent)

Pay Range: Scale S01/2, points 23–28; £32,076 to £36,648 pro rata

Hours: 37 hours per week, 47.99 weeks per year (negotiable).

The governors of this welcoming and friendly small Catholic school are seeking to appoint a School Business Manager from September 2024.

The successful candidate will be energetic, enthusiastic, passionate about teaching and learning and fully committed to supporting the Catholic ethos of the school.

The school business manager manages finance and purchasing, and takes lead school responsibility for premises, HR and ICT.

They will have the following essential skills:

• 2 years’ experience in a finance background or a specific financial qualification (at least NVQ level 3) with school experience as desirable

• The ability to use analytical, judgmental, creative and development skills

• A team player, able to motivate and support others;

• Strong numerical and literacy skills

• Strong ICT skills particularly with Office and management information systems

• Ability to learn quickly
