The Governing Body of St Wilfrid’s Catholic Primary School, Burgess Hill, is seeking to appoint a dynamic and inspirational Assistant Headteacher although its commitment is to grow the successful candidate into Catholic Deputy Headship and beyond.

The successful applicant will ideally be:
• A practising Catholic (or at least "on the journey") who has a clear understanding of the distinctive nature of a Catholic School and is willing to take an active role in the life & mission of the school.
• Passionate about providing an excellent education for all children at St Wilfrid’s.
• Dedicated to school improvement and raising standards.
• A school leader who has experience in school development.
• Innovative and knowledgeable; confident to work alongside the Headteacher and governing body to further develop the school vision.
• A strategic thinker who can further develop articulate and continue to develop the school vision for effectiveness, inclusion and wellbeing for all in the St Wilfrid’s School family.
• An excellent primary classroom practitioner. Able to develop, inspire and challenge staff.
• Committed to build on existing relationships with parents, the Parish, Bosco CET, the Diocese, Local Authority and wider community whilst fostering new relationships.
• Able to identify strengths and weaknesses to further develop the potential of pupils and staff.
