Diocesan Finance Committee

Fr Jonathan How

Fr Jonathan was appointed as Chair of the Diocesan Finance Committee and Trustee in January 2018. He grew up in Burgess Hill, West Sussex and after studies at St John's Seminary, Wonersh was ordained priest in 1993.
Fr Jonathan served as Lecturer at St John's Seminary for 18 years, during which time he taught Philosophy and Liturgy and served as Bursar for 6 years and Director of Studies for 12 years. He was a member of its finance committee and Clerk to the Trustees throughout this time.

He was Parish Priest at Sacred Heart, Cobham from 2016 to 2019, when he was appointed to the parish of Godalming. He has been a Trustee of the Secular Clergy Common Fund ('BigM') since 2003 and Chair of the Diocesan Art & Architecture Committee since 2005. He has experience of working in non-profit organisations outside the church through his roles in the Scout Movement at both County and World level.

Bill Connell

Bill Connell is a retired Chartered Management Accountant who worked in industry for 40years and specialised in projects and risk management. Bill worships in the parish of Frimley and is a member of the Diocesan Finance Committee.

John Cornish

John Cornish is a retired Chartered Surveyor. He worships in the parish of Seaford and is a member of the Diocesan Finance Committee. He headed property departments in several London Boroughs and then in the Government's Communities and Local Government Department with responsibility for commercial and strategic property management.

John was Chair of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors Planning and Development Board for a number of years and sat on various of the Institution's Policy Panels.

Isabelle Wragg

Isabelle joined the DFC in 2006 and she works for the Department of Education and is a Chartered Surveyor.

Nina Bryson

Nina Bryson joined the Diocesan Finance Committee at the April 2019 meeting. Nina is a Chartered Accountant, and has been involved for many years on a voluntary level with the finances of the parish of Epsom.

Rev Paul Gately

Deacon Paul Gately is attached to the parish of Weybridge. He is a retired Actuary and joined the Diocesan Finance Committee for the April 2019 meeting.
